The Aviwire Barrier System |
|
| | | | | Aviwire is a revolutionary bird deterrent product effective against feral Pigeons (and gulls where extended rods are used). It consists of rods made of stainless steel, with stainless steel wire and springs (and if required, base plates). The final assembly is straight line.
A range of adhesives and fasteners can be used depending on the substrate material. The product is supplied, assembled and fitted by qualified personnel.
The principle of using laterally sprung wires is a well proven method of deterring pigeons and gulls from open roofing sites such as building ledges. Innovation
ANC Bird Control has developed a unique variation on the standard Post & Wire rod system. Pigeons cannot access the ledges by dropping under the front twin wire.Stainless steel bases with rods welded to the end give greater restriction to roosting birds, because they go to the edge (not 25 mm from the edge). Edge savers, save costly damage to delicate ledging by keeping drill holes 70 mm from the edge.Edge savers have been successful in deterring Indian Mynas from landmarks like Parliament House in Melbourne, Victoria. Aviwire is virtually invisible when viewed from the ground. Aviwire installation images Download Aviwire Brochure

BIRD GUARD® - Barrier System |
|
| | | | | Another complimentary exclusion system developed primarily for the prevention of access of small birds to roof areas.
Bird Guard® mesh is manufactured from High Density Poly Ethylene (HDPE) with a 6 mm hole designed to exclude leaves, twigs debris, nesting material, etc.
Bird Guard® is attached under tiles, slate and special contoured corrugated colourbond brackets for corrugated roofs, and secured to the gutter with colourbond angle trim.
Bird Guard® has an avalanche effect on debris yet allows rain water to collect in gutters.
Bird Guard® is hardly noticable and does not effect the aesthetics of the building.
|
|
| | | | | Premier Net is effective in eliminating access to areas by Starlings, Indian Mynas and Sparrows. Premier Net is manufactured from High Density Poly Ethylene monofilament yarn which is then knitted into an open mesh fabric.
The open mesh is small enough to keep out small birds (such as sparrows) yet when placed around column capitals, window pediments, or set in large areas provides our clients with the most optimum low visual effect available in the market place and reduces detrimental affects to building aesthetics which other nets may cause. Premier netting is secured with stainless steel cable, hooks and turnbuckles and we are able to navigate successfully around all suspension leads, etc. Where access to lights, etc are necessary for maintenance, we can install heavy duty black nylon zippers depending on the requirements of the client.
7,000 squ mt of Premier netting was used under the North and South canopies of the new parcel facility for Australia Post in Ardeer, Vic, to deter any future ingress of feral birds. The Qantas workshops at Tullamarine Melbourne were inundated with thousands of roosting Welcome Swallows which incurred a OH&S problem from all the bird waste. Premier net was very effective in stopping the birds from roosting in the roof trusses and all the purlins. Premier Net is available in black, beige (stone coloured) & white. Correct installation of your "Premier Net" is essential to its effectiveness and durability. NB: Fabric abrasion is a major cause of failure, and must be avoided at all times. The core purpose of Aviwire and Premier Net is to deter feral birds and the deleterious effect of their droppings and the subsequent damage to building exterior and interior environs. Eagle Eye Optical Bird Scarer |
|
| | | | | An Optical bird scarer approved and recommended by the Department of Nature conservation.
The first bird scarer to harmlessly relocate birds successfully from unwanted areas such as *Buildings, *Airstrips, *farm Lands, *Silos, *Golf greens, *Public Areas, etc.
The Eagle Eye bird-scarer does not harm the bird in any way.
Up to 80% reduction in bird infestation within 3 months!!
Manufactured and patented in South Africa, this product is the new revolutionary discovery underwritten by Cape Nature Conservation.
The Eagle Eye is the new prototype developed over a period of time and has gone through tests in all areas during the this time. We can now with confidence market and support it.
The Eagle Eye works by reflecting light beams. The light bands, including the ultraviolet and infrared bands in the light spectrum are reflected back to the bird imitating the presence of a predator bird. This causes the bird to deviate in flight and fly to another destination. It does not affect sitting birds but hinders the bird at the angle which they come in to land at their destination. Once chased away from their sitting position the bird will eventually not return to where the Eagle Eye is installed.
An important aspect of the Eagle Eye is that it works in line of sight. If there are obstacles in the way of the beams, more units will be needed to cover the specified areas on the different height levels.
|
|
| | | | | Installation trials should be run for at least 3 months, after which bird infestation will be reduced by up to 80%. "Using the Eagle Eye Bird-Scarer is an environmentally friendly, cheap and effective way of preventing bird damage on wheat trials" Dr Francois Koekemoer, Wheat R&D Lead, Monsanto, South Africa.
The Eagle Eye is fitted with a 12 volt DC motor to make it turn at a specific speed, reflecting light beams at constant intervals. It can be powered by making use of a 12-volt transformer, a Solar Panel or a 12 volt battery.
A time switch can also be used to switch the Eagle Eye on and off as required.
The Eagle Eye functions optimally in direct sunlight. Artificial light can be used for indoor applications or shady areas but is not as affective as direct sunlight and more units will be needed to cover the same area. (A specific light is required.)
The reflective surface of the Eagle Eye is manufactured from a strong ABS plastic material that does not break during hailstorms.
A Service Level Agreement can be entered into with your local agent to keep your Eagle Eye turning at all times. The monthly cost per unit is based on a sliding scale, depending on the total number of units bought by the client. This covers all expenses or costs where repair or replacement of all Eagle Eye is concerned.
Animal welfare institutions are all in favour of the Eagle Eye because it is environmentally friendly, not harmful to any animals or environment and will reduce the infestation of birds by up to 80% within a three-month period. Eagle Eye installation images

Bird Control for Buildings with Gravelled Roofs |
|
| | | | | White gravel is used on flat roofed buildings to aid in insulation but birds like Ravens, Sulphur Crested Cockatoos and other large birds find the gravel 'interesting' to be picked up and dropped off the edge of the buildings.
The KPMG building in Sydney had to replace two $24k plate glass awnings due to the Ravens dropping the stones over the roof top edge of the building and for a low profile deterrent we installed white 19mm diamond netting in a double layered configuration which was laid directly on top of the gravel.
The building on Anzac Pde Kensington had 50mm Premier net also installed with solar powered (pictured) Shock Track as added security.
Electric Shock Track powered from a M2 (mains) Energiser with the lead out wire hidden under the gravel was all that was required to the roof top at Meadowbank.
In all instances where an appropriate bird control system has been installed to deter birds from dropping gravel from off the buildings it has been successful. Gravelled Roofs control installation images
